Well, I've exchanged a few emails with one of those chains. According to them a single clown loach in a 50 gallon is perfectly fine!

That just speaks to the ignorance of the people running those stores. They're perfectly fine with selling the merchandise, but don't want anything to do with actually researching/understanding it. Sad.... They say the best company and/or salesperson is the one which truly understands and believes in their product - imagine how successful they'd be, if they would take the time involved.
Tank 1: 20gal Long Planted Freshwater - 1 Crowntail Betta + 8 Oto Cats + 1 Horned Nerite Snail + 2 Orange Rabbit Snail + 5 Amano Shrimp

I agree that these fish, among others, should not be in the trade. Unfortunately, as long as they keep selling, they will continue to be available.
If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.
