Interesting Pearl Gourami Behavior!
Hey Guys,
So my pair of pearls in my 55 community are starting to put on quite a show!. Ive had them since they were juveniles which was about 8 months ago and now that they have matured together they are starting to really color up and I think they might mate relatively soon. I have never had pearls breed in a tank but the male is getting that classic deep red color on his neck and they occasionally circle each other. Hes also been at the surface alot trying to make bubbles. The weird part is the female is trying to make bubbles alittle to? Has anyone else experienced this? I thought this was the males job but apparently the female wants to help lol? It is just amazing how colorful the male has become such a beautiful sight.
