Looks like daily water changes (of about 60-70%) are working because I've not lost a shrimp for two weeks now. Good news. I have been wondering if I should upgrade the filter if it is a water quality problem. The Dennerle nano filter just came with the tank. Anyone know if they make nano cannisters? That'd be neat.

Anyway...in the past two weeks I've seen two new batches of babies - which is wonderful. In all these months (since August/September last year) of shrimp-keeping this is the first sign of breeding.

In another happy accident, all those stem plant cuttings from my big tank must have had a few corydoras eggs attached to them because I've spotted two tiny black tadpole-like creatures lurking in the vegetation.

Spoke too soon again. Two more dead shrimp this week. I'm almost going to give up.
