Driftwood
Hey everyone!
I'm looking for some good places to purchase some substantial driftwood pieces. If any of you have ordered from a certain place, please point me in that direction.
Thanks!130g: 7 Angelfish, 1 Bolivian, 17 Neon Tetras, 14 Serpae Tetras, 9 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, ? Ghost Shrimp

Have never ordered drift wood on line so I can not help you there. But have you tried any local fish clubs ?
That might be the best way to find a great deal one some driftwood that you can take a good look at befor buying it.
There used to be a large fish club in Louisville if traveling there is a option for youIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Thanks Cliff, but I don't plan on traveling that far for wood. Haha!
As far as I know, the county I live in doesn't really have any fish clubs. (If they did I bet they'd stink. This place isn't known for its intelligence.)
Thanks for trying though. :)130g: 7 Angelfish, 1 Bolivian, 17 Neon Tetras, 14 Serpae Tetras, 9 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, ? Ghost Shrimp

Driftwood is heavy and bulky so it isn't a very suitable item for shipping. I think that the best option is to ask your local fish store to bring in the product that you are missing.

Have you tried looking in your back yard? Do you have hardwood trees on your property Mandy? If you do just grab a branch or chunk and take off the bark, soak it in a container for a couple of weeks, boil the heck out of it and soak it in a container. Maple is a good choice but it probably doesn't grow down there. Google your local tree species and see what hard woods you have in the area.
Other then that, ask your local lfs to order you some and pay the price. Yes that bites but it works.Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..

+ 1 to Greentoads comment on Aquabid, they have peices of all sizes available.

Driftwood
I bought a very nice piece from DrsFosterSmith.com. Plus if you spend over 49$, shipping is free. I have bought a lot from them and every thing has been A+. Came in a timely fashion and was in perfect condition.
Can't remember the name of the piece I have, but it is the really heavy stuff and a light color with darker spots. Lovely piece.

Thanks everyone. :) I think I'll do some Googling as suggested, then probably revert to my LFS.
I haven't looked on aquabid, but I have looked at DFS. They do have some nice pieces, but all I can find are the small ones.130g: 7 Angelfish, 1 Bolivian, 17 Neon Tetras, 14 Serpae Tetras, 9 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, ? Ghost Shrimp
