The aqueon pro heaters are all aluminum, no glass to break. I just bought one for my 72g project, it was only a few bucks more that the standard glass ones. My experience with returns for online purchases has been pretty good for the most part. I find that if you call you can usually manage to have the return shipping waived.

At this time I do have glass heaters with a high temp mesh around it to keep it from smashing I will try a couple of these heaters I need something strong it's almost like they are proud of themselves when they can break or mess something up. Another popular game is they stuff there face with food then swim over to the filter intake and spit the food into the filter

I had a aqueo filter that leaked from a molded plastic seam. I set it up and when I turned the lights on next morning it had leaked almost two gallons onto the floor. Their customer service was really good, I just had to email pictures of the leak and the date codes from the filter. They sent a new one next day and I got it the day after it was shipped because apparently they are based in WI with me.

I had an aquatech filter fail (and the one that comes in the ten gallon kit cant have the impellor removed so it is a bad design to begin with). They wanted it shipped back, I declined because I wasnt going to pay $7 to ship an $11 item. I just used the money and got an aquaclear for it.
