Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.

A warm beer is better than a cold beer. Because nothing is better than a cold beer, and a warm beer is better than nothing.

I have kind of talked myself out of discus due to their demands and my present laziness of only wanting to devote to 1 WC per week. Thus I have sourced myself 5 nice angelfish with 25% wild blood so they should be nice looking fish. I will allow them to pair naturally and keep only the pair. The remainder of the angels will join the old 150G when it is moved to my mother's business with the geophagus, domestic angelfish, and 2 female rotkeils.

Looks great Jenn. I think you will be much happier with angels instead of discus, or maybe that's just me, I have never been a discus person. Either way, that tank is screaming for a couple angels.
When I go fishing I just throw sharp rocks in the water and wait for the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Dear naps, sorry I hated you so much when I was a child... Love me

I got 5 in yesterday. All standard fin silvers with a low percentage of wild blood just to help give them a more correct shape. I will grow them out and let them pair and keep only the pair. Discus are great if you are certain you want to dedicate yourself to the upkeep...Im just not so sure I want to bother with it.

This tank is probably the most low tech planted I have ever done, thus the super slow growth. I am only running one of the bulbs so that is a 65watt CF on a 56 column...given the height that is very very low. But growth is happening, Vals did melt a lot but are bouncing back. Now if I can just get them to fill in the background I think its pretty much done. The only dosing that happens is a weekly shot of Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium, and Trace. I also had a bit of a filament algae bloom a few weeks ago I kept the tank dark for a week and did a few massive WCs to win the battle. As with any low light tank I have some mild brush algae and some green spot algae on the glass.

Absolutely lovely as always, Jenn. lol the puppy gives it some scale, you don'treally notice the size of the tank until you see the pup standing by it.

lol, The SO usually has to sit on the fireplace hearth and hold Deuce up to the tank to watch the fish which is how his head got in the shot.

I do need to take photos of the Angels, perhaps in the coming week when theyve had more time to settle in. Thanks again for the wonderful feedback.
