  1. Lightbulb 10 gallon (stocking plans)

    so i have a 10 gallon.
as soon as i find a cheap stand and a good place for it (small town house) i am going to start cycling it.
so i thought i could start planning.
my filteration is going to be an ac 20 plus tetra whisper 1-3 gallon. (120 gph)
i am looking for fish that are active and not something very common (neon tetra, guppy.)
    any suggestions

Micro rasbora's are cool and not very common.
Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..

Please remember; every keystroke has a consequence.

micro fish are you only real option in a small set up.

    otherwise,
    betta + shrimp or
    shrimp + neon's.

not much else can be in a proper school in that sized tank.

  4. Default

so far i really like the Micro rasbora's but my tap ph is like at 7.4.
are they cool with alkaline water

  5. Default

Micro rasbora's are not an optin because none of my lfs carries them.
but i kept looking for a fish,
    what about dwarf puffers!
i love the way they look.
can you guys give me some info on them?
    i couldn't find any

  6. Default

    so i was thinking
    planted tank with
    a betta
    5 dwarf puffer

That DEFINITELY will not work. Puffers are aggressive little things.

You could do EITHER a Betta OR a Dwarf Puffer -- maybe 2, you'll have to check with someone with more experience with puffers. Either would appreciate the tank being planted.

    alright,
what can i put in with the dwarf puffers.
what can i put in with a betta.
don't want shrimp in there btw

Sorry but apart from shrimp I don't think there's anything. Bettas and dwarf puffers are both aggressive species and 10g is just not enough room for them AND another species. The other species would have no room to escape the aggression.

What about a few neons and a school of Pygmy Cories? Unfortunately Microfish are really your best bet for a tank that small, are you sure you can't order some in?

    uhh...
i really don't want to setup a typical tank that everyone has.
    how about
    4 endler
    8 neons
(neons can go with endler right)
if they can't then just 6 endler
