Cheers, yeah I'll be careful. There were only two or three eggs anyway. I'll siphon some water from the top and replace it tonight. I don't hold out much hope for them anyway and the filter will be my number 1 suspect if they're gone when I get home.

Will try harder on the next batch...when I have more than two eggs I didn't squish!

What about one of those hang on fry baskets? If you do decide to want to raise them and the live food they need, it keeps them in the tank with the same water and because they're isolated you can make sure they're eating and the other fish can't eat them. You'd just want to shade the section of the tank you hang the fry basket on or else the super bright light will stress them. More food for thought if they spawn again. Good luck with those eggs, my bronze corys have been spawning too, but with no spare tank I've been letting nature take it's course and the angels normally find them. I'm hoping when the plants fill in really dense I might start seeing one or two baby corys.

Yeah I've used those before actually - quite good in emergencies. I definitely don't want that hanging in my main tank though - aesthetically. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Anyway...I got back from work last night and could find no trace of the one, single fry that I spotted in the morning. Perhaps sucked into the filter. Oh well. Next time I will consider putting some fine mesh over the intake. I'd need more than a single fry to bother too much with this, sadly.

    What about adding a prefilter?

Yeah I'd need some fine mesh/sponge to cover the intake slots (plastic housing). It's a SuperFish Wave 15 tank so has a compartment at the back that houses the filter.
