I've never understood why people think this - fish cannot see their reflection in the tank sides. YOU see their reflection in the tank sides when looking through the glass front at the glass sides. Honestly, if you stuck your head in the tank and looked at the tank sides you would see out of it (no reflection). You only see a reflection if you are outside the tank. Do you get what I mean?
EDIT: Also, why would they see their reflection in the sides but not in the front?

I was thinking the same thing firefly.

i dont like covering the sides of my tanks either BUT im going to be moving my 55g into a small nook, the sides wont be viewable so i might cover them.

I wonder if i plant one of my tiger barbs would the demon seed grow to a full tree?
