Hello and help please
Hi I am new to aquariums, just started about 3 months ago. I'm also new to this forum so please excuse the basic questions. I would like to post a question about reducing ammonia. Which forum should I post to ? Thank you.

Hi
Welcome to the AC
You need to post in the beginners forum.
Without knowing what size tank you have, what your filtration system is and how many and what type of fish you have, it's difficult to pin point exactly what's happening in your tank.
So be prepared to answer all those questions along with what your weekly water change schedule is and how much water you change out weekly.
In the meantime - best advice for reducing ammonia is to do a water change. A big one. Probably 50%.

Big water chance will get the levels down. After that we need to think about the root cause.....

Thanks !!
Thank you very much for all the quick responses ! As suggested, I posted my question in the "Beginners corner - Beginner freshwater - Cycling" section, hopefully that's the right place. The link to the post is http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/aqua...12#post1136812
Please take a look and ask your questions, I'm sure there are some dumb rokkie mistakes I've made but I'm ready to change :) I will answer even the toughest questions if it would save my pets. Thanks again, you all seem really committed to fish and I can feel it already.
