Bettas and Bee Shrimp?

Could 1 male betta and several bee shrimp live in a five gallon planted tank together peacefully or would the bee shrimp be harassed to death.

The unfortunate thing is that bettas differ from fish to fish. They have personalities just like humans. One betta might peacefully coexist with shrimp while another might attack them. If you are ready to rehome one of the species in case they don't work together, I see nothing wrong with trying the combination out.
To maximize your chances of success, add the shrimp before the betta if possible.
