  1. Default Gel glob in tank??

    0 Not allowed!
I'm not sure what to call it. It looks like a drop of clear gel that I found on my filter cartridge and on my rock in my tank. I've been battling the cloudiness from my substrate and decided to move the tank while it was drained, and that's when I noticed them. Could these globs be from the snails? Or perhaps they have something to do with the little white dot creatures that are in the tank?? Anyone with ideas?

Could you post a picture and water parameters?

Keep in mind that it 's been drained and filled again.
    Parameters: Nitrate and nitrite: 0
    GH:75
    KH: 80
    PH: 6.8
Okay I can't get a pic to load.

My snails lay eggs like that, but they are small snails will small 'gel globs'. You can see little dots in the middle of each smaller glob. Looks like a micro version of frog eggs if you've ever been to a farm pond... if that helps. Google Images might help:

Shrimp and snail junkie... What can I say, I like the little things in life.

Yep, I think rich is right. The little white dot creatures are probably copepods of some kind and they are too little to produce gobs big enough for you to notice.

Thanks for the input. I assumed the globs were from the snails; I have nothing else in the tank (except those little creatures that I don't know what they are living on). Someone keeps creating little piles that look like broken down algae wafers; not unless that was from all the sunlight it was getting before I moved it. Anywho, thanks everyone.
