New Tank Setup
I have had my fish, 2 Blood Parrots and 2 Jack Dempseys since August 2012. They Have been doing very well. Recently we moved, I bought a brand new 50 gallon tank and gravel but kept the same decor. I set the tank up at our new place 3 days before I brought the fish here, I decholorinated the tank and added all the things nessecary for them to live. I know the whole New Tank Syndrome has to occour and run its course for 6 weeks. But my water is FILTHY!!! Its almost Brown its soooo dirty. I need to know if I have done something wrong. Can I takeout 25-50% of my water and replace it, or should I wait the 2 weeks out? I have a PH test kit and my PH is good at 7.0 but I dont have a Ammonia test kit. The solution I use for my PH is aslo good for removeing, CHolrine, Chloramine and Ammonia. I have recently added some just in case my ammonia was high. What should I do?Should I do the water change or wait it out?

Just a few questions: do you have a filter? Did you clean the filter recently and how do you clean the filter if you have one. I cannot really judge whether your tank has become uncycled but alone the dirty water warrants a good size water change.
