Looks good. I'd be tempted to re-angle a couple of those rocks so they are leaning the same way (rather than into the centre) to make it look a bit more natural.

Looking forward to seeing it with the plants grown in a bit.

An update after a couple of weeks. Some of the background plants died. Two artificial ones (yes I know! ) in there just for the moment to add a bit of colour until I get round to finding some proper background plants I like. HC doing well and spreading a little.

Background poster to be switched to something a little more neutral. Will also put it on correctly this time (aware of the air pockets!). May well try switching the direction of the right hand rock as comments above.

Rocks staring to take on an aged algae look which I like - not sure who far this will continue without checking?

Some old Mollies from my old tank and 5 new blue Guppies (from Japanese Koi Company, Stotfold)

Focusing on guppies is near impossible - so apologies about the pic. I would also like to introduce a resident of my old tank - as my Son calls him Mr Sucky Sucky!

Thanks for all the replies - we haven't had to buy the helicopter or Spongebob airstone yet!

Not sure what mr. sucky is, I suspect Peckoltia of some kind. In which case.. it's not much of an algae eater, try him with some cory wafers. IF you can sneak in a small piece of wood somewhere out of sight he'd probably appreciate it.

Little Update. BG Artificial plants now gone, now 100% live. Some moss growth on right large rock which is cool

Stocked with various Guppies, Mollies and Dwarf Gourami's

Just going to let it fill out now, and change that background to solid black

Looking very nice - so much better with live plants!

If you want to control algae on the rockwork a toothbrush does a fine job.

Little Update. The air curtain is hardly the original minimalist vision but you only live once!

Did the carpeting plant not take? Can be a tricky one without CO2. I've tried and failed myself with hairgrass.
