Goodbye Artificial Plants!
Trusty old tank next to new 180l Juwel tank, just built

Substrate down (sorry no pics), then in with the rocks. Wanted Iwagumi style (but I'm not sticking rigidly to this). Still get stick from the Wife for travelling 60 miles to buy some 'rocks'!

Now the plants - complete novice here, thanks to the lads at The Water Zoo at Peterborough

Looking ok

Water in, some baterial bloom going on but 3 days later its settling down.
So thats where Im up to. Ive told my Son (7y.o) if that the plants dont work (ie they die!), I will give in and stick a massive sunken helicopter in there!

Welcome.
I've also got a juwel. There's no reason why most of those plants shouldn't succeed. What you could do next time you're in a shop. Pick up a bottle of easycarbo and profito. Dose 50% of the recommended dose easycarb and about 30% profito. See what that does.My 33 gallon/125 liter tank. My photography on flickr.

That's a nice-looking tank ^_^ What're you gonna stock it with?

Looking good. Can we have a "head on" tank shot?
