Hey Steel,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you; for some reason, I am not receiving email notifications when a reply comes into a thread I am subscribed to -- even though I KNOW I have checked off instant notification in each post...

So, what do you make of the substrate? We're using the natural "polished pebble" type thinking we were going to go with a natural theme -- now that this has been scrapped, and my wife wants the "Zen/Asian" thing going on for our goldies, do you still think this neutral type of gravel will work?

Actually, I don't blame you for perhaps NOT kidding with your question about PINK GRAVEL; that would, indeed, be hideous...

Yes I think that type of gravel would still look great with your theme change.

I looked at the gravel link too, and I think it would work with almost any theme. Just probably not something like a neon everything else setup.

I'm going to try and post some pics up tonight of what the tank currently looks like, so you can all begin to give input and suggestions, and to get a better idea of what I have been describing in terms of what's in there now...
