I think his prices are very fair. - $125 for all (except the wisteria which I have already) I probably ordered more than I need LOL.

Yea you got a lot of jungle val lol. If you bought 8 of his units you will probably get around 40 individual plants (enough to do entire back wall of tank

)

Plus I won't be surprised if he tosses a few more things in the box. He has done it before

Yea Jungle Val are nice, if you have to just put a small bunch in a corner, rather than an entire line across the back. either way you'll have to trim once in awhile lol

This message may seem random coming from a new member and an individual new to the hobby, but I appreciate quality work and have enjoyed reading through your journal and seeing the updates. You work clean and efficiently, and the end result (or mid result at this point? lol) is outstanding!

On a semi-related note, as well as a very quick hi-jack of the thread, I was just curious what type of sealant you used for your sump? I was gifted a 20g tank the other day...let's just say I'm in the market for silicone sealant. Also, where did you purchase the egg crate material you used in your project?

Hi Switchfoot, welcome to the forums! No hijack at all. I used the Locktite brand waterproof silicone sealant. This is 100% aquarium safe and actually has instructions on the back specifically for aquariums. It costs about 4 bucks, my local Ace hardware store had it. It comes in a 3oz tube. The egg rate I bought at lowes. It is actually the ceiling grids you see in a drop ceiling below a lit fixture. Just go to the section of the store where the ceiling tiles are sold and you will see it there. It was about $12 I think.

Yes, the driftwood has been attached to slate and is back to soaking in the tub. The tannins seems to be fairly minimal just a very light tinting of the water. I did pick up some activated carbon to help with that for the first couple of weeks in the tank. I cant wait to get water flowing in the tank again. Might have to take tomorrow afternoon off to plant.

OMG! Just got the plants! These are awesome! Not to mention the QTY that Mike at Mike's Wet Pets shipped. I am gonna need a bigger tank LOL! I stuck them all in my 10g for safekeeping til I plant later today. The 10 g is stuffed. Stoked!
