Rocks for low PH tank; Plants in sand substrate

Okay, so I've had my 55gal tank set up for a little over 4 maybe 5 months; it has a sand bottom and looking a little barren right now. In order to solve this problem I need your help on types of rock I can put in there without raising the PH (I'm finally able to keep it below 7). I'm also having trouble keeping plants alive, I'm assuming its because of the sand substrate. The only plants I have in there now are three amazon swords.

Plants need nutrients and lights, are you supplying that?

Rocks.. granite's pretty safe. I like big pebbles. Whatever doesn't react to vinegar is inert enough to use

Yes I am, as far as nutrients I'm using Seachem's Flourish comprehensive supplement.

You don't want to use rock like limestone, texas holey rock, coral, etc. They will all leach.
