    I used slate tile to make caves. I simply threw it down on the garage floor to break it up (that part was fun), used a dremel to round off the edges) and then siliconed it together using aquarium safe silicone.
    "The Dumpster Tank" 26g flat back hex - Bolivian rams, Checker barbs, Harlequin and porkchop rasbora, neon tetra, SAE, otocinclus

    "Mini Mbuna" 20g long - 1 M. pulpican, 1 M. joanjohnsonae

    "Electric Blue Acara Tank" 75g - Giant danio, tiger barb, Bristlenose pleco

    Somewhere I saw a man take a small tera cotta pot, bust a hole in the side, then cover it with aquarium sealer. He then covered it in his substrate and let dry good. Really looked good. If I ever get my tanks repaired and up and running, I am thinking of a simular item. Only want to use clear plastic (plexi glass) and make a small curved piece for a cave. Should be interesting.
