Help! Fin rot?

Good luck! If you haven't already put a air stone in the tank some meds (not sure about the ones you're using) take up oxygen and can lead to a lot of stress on the fish.

Update! I awoke to find a rasbora stuck against the intake filter. I am using a tetra whisper pf10 with carbon in it. Is it just a coincidence he would get stuck on the intake? Or could the medication have weakened him somehow? And should I take the carbon out of the filter, because it helps remove medications from the water, and I am medicating my tank?

The rasbora is still alive, by the way, but lying on his side in a net.

Just kidding. The rasbora died about an hour after being in the net. I looked at his fins under the microscope, looking for evidence of obvious fin rot. I couldn't get a good look at his pectoral fins, but it seemed they were kind of disintegrating. His tail fin seemed jagged as i continued to the tip of the upper fin. But i don't really know what a healthy rasbora would look like under the light, so I have to say the autopsy was inconclusive.

Sorry for the loss. Unfortunately, if you had the carbon in there since you added medication, it's unlikely that the medication was effective. It would have been depleted pretty quickly, because carbon absorbs chemicals (that's your chemical filtration).

Update! After three days with fungus guard, no lighting, little food, and no carbon in the filter, My little guy is looking better IMO. The white has not gone away completely, but there seems to be color returning to spots he had white on before. His behavior is still normal he is eating well, active, but I am sure he's a bit stressed because he's the only one in the tank. I'm planning on taking him out of the quarantine tomorrow, and back with his fellow fish. Will this be alright?

Are you going to stop medicating? I wouldn't stop treating until the fin rot is gone.

I probably shouldn't stop medicating, but I'm just a little nervous that the longer I keep him alone in the tank, the more likely it would be he would die, because I am not doing water changes with the medication in, and he is alone in the tank. These worries are probably ill-founded, but i cant help myself. Should I do a water change before I put more medication in?
