What type of food for my planned stock?
Hey guys, so I'm looking around for fish food and I really just don't understand the benefits of flake vs pellet and all that stuff.
Now I've been looking at brands, so I'm ok with that. What I'm asking about is the actual type of food.
Why would someone pick flake food over pellet?
So my planned stock is a bunch of neon tetra, a molly, bolivian rams, and cory catfish.
Also, I'm in no position to culture my own live food. Can I buy frozen live food?Current Tank: 29g Cycling
Stock: Snails
Plants: Val, anubais, dwarf sag, willow moss, java fern

I personally find it easier to make sure all the food gets eaten when I feed pellets. Others have other preferences.
You can also feed frozen foods as the occasional treat, like blood worms or Byrne shrimpLast edited by Cliff; 02-08-2013 at 02:03 AM.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

What you feed also depends on the eating habits of your fish. I've got hatchets, they only eat things that float on the surface.
In this case a slowly sinking pellet would be good and he'd need some cory wafers. Hikari would be my food of choice. My 33 gallon/125 liter tank. My photography on flickr.
