    that isn't bad news, the tank is empty. you could fill it up with pure bleach if you wish.
    as long as you do the following to make sure the chemicals are gone, you have 0 things to worry about.

    rinse it out a few times (either with water or vinegar+water mix)
    scrub it down
    wipe clean
    let it dry

    repeat if you wish

    whew,
    thanks for the huge relief,
    tommorow i am going to rinse it out many times with my garden house and buy some gravel for it to start the cycle.
    so no to the 90 gph filter?
    because a ac 20= 100 gph.
    i could add another 20 gph with a 1-3 gallon filter

    Make sure your filtration is for double the size of your tank - you have a 10gal tank - filtration should be for AT LEAST 20gal. It doesn't matter if you upgrade your filter or add another one.
    46 gal fw tank with black skirt tetras, neon tetras, spotted cory catfish, cherry barbs, guppies, snails & 4 amano shrimp - plastic & live plants
    5 gal QT with green corys & 2 guppies

    I understand that,
    But an ac 20 is 100 gph
    The filters I have would combine to 110 gph.
    The filters I have would be more powerful.
    I am going to stay with the filters I have

    Vafa,

    Filtration should be AT LEAST 20gallons.

    Meaning, the filtration should be at least twice the size of the tank, or double the size of the tank, or two times the size of the tank. As long as that is your minimum, then you are good, as it has been said a few times.

    For a ten gallon tank I would get an AC 50. Once your filter gets a bit dirty it will really reduce it's efficiency. Spec's. for an AC 50 are;

    For 20 - 50 U.S. Gal aquariums
    - Maximum Output: 757 L/h (200 U.S. Gal./h)
    - Full Flow Control: 250 L/h (66 U.S. Gal./h)

    That would be my minimum. But thats me. Good luck.
    Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..

    Please remember; every keystroke has a consequence.
