I have a 150 gallon established tank. o o less than 20ppm, I have a sump and am wondering which canistar filter would be good. most depend on gravity to keep it flowing, right , and next to my sump there would be no drop to the filter . It would have to draw it like a HOB does. would they do that, I was hoping for the FX5 Fluval. thanks any sugestions would be great. I like the artical about multifiltration.

If you got levels like that and a well working sump I see little point in adding a second. If you're nervous about things failing maybe get a backup pump in stock?
An fx5 is huge and should make a big impact on your tank. It's manual clearly says:
The filter lid must be at least 7.8 in. (20cm) below your
aquarium’s water level but never more than 4.9 ft. (150cm).My 33 gallon/125 liter tank. My photography on flickr.
