Lowest temperature for Pleco
Will a pleco be OK in water that sometimes gets to 60 degrees F?
I have a small pond here in NY for a few goldfish and bring them inside for winter. Temperature gets to around 60. I'd like to add a few small bushynose plecos to help keep the algae in check but am not sure if they will be OK with the temperature. I've kept the common black ones for years and they seem to do well, but I do not know if there are differences in temperature range of other types.
A better question might be: Which commonly available pleco is most tolerant of low temperatures.
