Ready for a fish?

I set up a 30 gallon (soon to be) FOWLR about 5 days ago. I got the salt to 1.022, the ph to 8.0, no nitrites, the nitrates between 5-10ppm, and the temp steady at 80. This is a new tank, new sand, new rocks, but the first day I got everything set up I used some Biospira that was recommended to me by a friend. With all the levels like they are, is everything ready to go? What about with it being so new? The filter I have is a Marineland HOB w/o the biowheel btw. Feedback?

The easy way to check is to add some ammonia (like 1ppm), verify it with an ammonia test kit, then test for ammonia and nitrite the next day. If they're both reduced to zero then you should be good to go. If not, look at the fishless cycle sticky and follow those instructions until the tank is completely cycled.

+1 to above. If you did add fish I would check the nh3 twice a day and be ready for a water change... just in case. I have used a different bacteria to cycle my tank and it worked great. However, I never used the one you mentioned.
