  1. Default When do angel fish reach full size?

    0 Not allowed!
Ive just read somewhere that if a angel fish is proper kept and nurished it should be full size at max one year.

I have had a angel fish for minimum 1 year and 6 months and it is not full size.

Is this information wrong or have i mal nurished my angel fish in the early days.

    Thank you.

Not in my experience, 'Sexual maturity' yes [Easily less than a year] - 'Full size' .. No. [Disclaimer: I have never been trying to grow them like weeds.]

Please post a link to the source where you just saw that. I'd be interested to see what else they have to say.

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.

I thought that, ive been researching angel fish and have saw it takes that long to grow there sexual tubes.

but i saw that info here,
    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...0090253AABX28m

How long in your experience does it take to reach full size i thought it wouldve been much longer before researching as i know severums have got the same life span but they are slow growers anyway

thank you for the commet also

Do yourself and your fish a HUGE favor and never ever open that site again for a fish related question, Seriously.
Yahoo answers, Where information goes to die.

EDIT: BTW, That first reply refers to sexual maturity not 'full grown'. I infer that they imply that the ability to spawn = adulthood = 'fully grown' & this is not the case.

Yahoo both on and off the computer. When you increase your knowledge you will understand why yahoo isn't the place to go for fish information, ever. Fish continue to grow through out their lifetimes. Most of the growth will be in the first 1 or 2 years, depending on the species, but most will continue to grow slowly for their entire lives.

When I go fishing I just place a sharp rock in the water and sit there waiting for all the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

    +1 mommy

I would add that badmans or seriously fishy are two WAY better resources IMO ottomh.

[That's quite the word salad but I will attempt a reply]
    Yes indeed...

You asked them a question and when the 'best answer' you received didn't make any sense... You came here.

I am glad you use multiple sources, I was just trying to save you a trip to that particular apparently not so useful first stop, You are very welcome.
