Well I now have 2 Golden Wonder Killies in my QT and fingers crossed (did lots of research) I think I have a male & female :)
Really beautiful fish and super inquisitive, just worried about the whole jumping issue..even though I do have my tanks covered I'll be a nervous wreck when I have to do a water change. LOL

Thanks fishmommie, I sure will post some pics, they are fun to watch...the female is a bit bigger so when it comes to feeding time she seems to already be wearing the pants in the family!

Ahhh, the Golden Wonder! lol I have 3 of them and you're right, the female does wear the pants. Bigger and more aggressive. They're very fun to watch in the tank, because they're about as inquisitive as you are. They do spend a lot of time at the top of the tank, but they spend quite a bit of time all over the tank at different levels (low-mid).
They're fun fish, but you need to watch what you put in there with them. They get quite large and they're capable of fitting a lot of food (fish/shrimp) into their gaping mouths. They do jump, so make sure you cover them up... and if you take your time feeding them, they'll nip at you. In fact, they'll nip at you if you're doing anything in the tank. Very comfortable with people and more aggressive than anyone online would care to admit.
Also, when you're feeding them, the bigger ones will hoard anything they can get. Try feeding pellets, when they're about 3" long and you'll know what I mean. lol I have to continue strategically dropping them, so my GBRs and Raphael cat can get something to eat.Tank 1: 20gal Long Planted Freshwater - 1 Crowntail Betta + 8 Oto Cats + 1 Horned Nerite Snail + 2 Orange Rabbit Snail + 5 Amano Shrimp
Tank 2: 75gal Planted Freshwater - 6 Serpaes + 1 Black Phantom + 3 Golden Wonder Killies + 1 Opaline Gourami + 2 Striped Raphael Cat + 4 SAEs + 5 Assassin Snails
Tank 3: 10gal Planted Brackish Water - 4 Nerite Snails
Tank 4: 10gal Planted Freshwater - 5 Rabbit Snails + RCS

Oh my gosh Kevin thanks for the info, I'm really enjoying them, the female especially since she follows me around the tank..no fear at all for her. I noticed the male spends a lot of time like you said mid to top level. In fact the second day when I checked the tank and didn't see him at the top I actually started looking on the floor waiting to find the body of an escape artist but he was hiding near a plastic plant.
I will be careful regarding their tank mates because yes I do see they have quite large mouths for a slender fish. I'm sitting here laughing about the hoarding comment because the female already will stake out the area with flakes I added and not let the poor male near. He kinda eats the crumbs that fall when she's done LOL_______________________________________________
