Not only did I not get a flake of snow..... my tulips are already coming up again!

I saw some great photos that made me want to build a snow fort. And I drank cocoa in their honor... but cold without snow just isn't the same.

Gotcha. I don't shovel snow. That I can't do but I can clean off cars.

I think it was a town in Conn that got 3 feet. That's a ridiculous amount of snow when it come 4" per hour. None of it is fun for those with no heat sitting in a cold, dark house.

A few roofs have caved in due to weight of snow. But really, this is fun? NOT!

When looking at those death tolls I always wonder... if people went about their normal business wouldn't more have died in traffic and crime? I guess we'll never know. And yes, to those without power this is not the hot cocoa "gee it sure looks pretty" winter like it is to us seeing it from a distance.

I think if you live on the north-east coast of the states and you're looking at building a new house you'd better think hard about making it more weather resistant. Steaper, stronger roof, something able to take a hurricane.

We are still buried in CT. Since Friday, no plows either, we are trapped basically on our property, me and thousands of others. The entire city I'm in is shut down. 30 inches total, but snow drifts are up to five feet

You all have my sympathies. We have had more snow this year then anyone can remember too...and a longer cold snap as well...-40 C...more with windchill figured in.

I am looking forward to spring...and keeping my fingers crossed that we don't have another year of major flooding.

Well Trill, I only got 4" of snow. I didn't send it because by the time it settles, it only amounts to about an inch. It's just wouldn't be worth the shipping costs.
When in doubt, do a water change.
