can isolation kill a fish?

is the sole purpose only to deworm? or all internals?

overall my filters do 5500 litres so if i was to half that there is around atleast 5x turnover a hour but even so the filters dont seem very powerfull my dream is to have a fx5.

I dont overfeed my fish, alot of it is plant matter but i do have alot of messy chiclids aswell as my syno cats but sometimes the substarte seems so messy when my cats brush past but i do have a soil substrate with a thin capped layer.
