I can't wait to see it all set up in running good job to both of you.

Looking like a rewarding, long term project.

    OMG, what a night!

We've spent the past 4 hours with this tank. Here's how it went. Yes, of course I documented it for you.

We had to take the tank back off the stand and lay it down on the floor. It only took 3 cans of black spray paint to do the job.

I've noticed that people HATE it when you point out how stupid they are, so now I try to do it politely.

  5. Default Working

Here you see where we moved it into it's final position and began filling it up.

It took about an hour to fill this bad boy up. I then let it run for 45 miutes to make sure that the heaters would hold a reasonable, stable temp for the time being. We're running at about 76 degrees right now, and we're steady.

I'm just about positive that we'll be making a trip to the store to pick up a good heater tomorrow. I'm currently running 3. There are 2 200w, and 1 that I don't know what it is.

I'm running 4 filters. They will in NO WAY be able to handle Discus, so no Discus till I get at least one canister filter.

Okay! Here's the final product.... FOR NOW

Lots of bubbles going on so, yeah. I'll get you a better pic tomorrow. The plants are in glasses with substrate. I want to keep my plants, but have a bare bottom... That's how I plan to do it.

    Okay, let the ideas flow!

Wow! I'm envious! The tank and stand both look beautiful. The paint job looks great and I'm already digging your scape. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Maybe I missed the reasoning, but why no substrate?

Your going to love having your TV on the wall above the tank just as you are setting up this tank

I'm time, you will completely forget to even turn on the TV some days just like both the wife and I.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
