There's my girl. :) Sorry about the quality of today's pictures. It seems that my fish want to hang right under the flow of the AC70, and it makes a BUNCH of bubbles.

Anyway, for some reason her colors have never really been THAT vibrant. Do you think it's because she is a female?

And one of my small angels. The small ones al came with frayed fins. I'm hoping they heal soon.

I've noticed that people HATE it when you point out how stupid they are, so now I try to do it politely.

I think it is because she is a Bolivian ram, not a GBR. At least that's what she looks like to me.

I agree with KingFisher, looks like a female bolivian to me.

I'd have to agree. My GBRs look quite a bit different from the one in the pic up there. Very pretty Bolivian, though. =] However, you should inform your LFS that they're not selling GBRs.

Hmmm, I don't know guys. I guess it could be possible. I'm pretty convinced she is a GBR. Ehh who knows.

Here is a pic of her when I first brought her home. Better quality, and she WAS a bit brighter I guess. I wonder if something is wrong?

Do you still think she's a bolivian? I don't mind if she is of course.

    And so you did. lol

Bolivians are nothing to sniff at, though. They're still beautiful and presumably more peaceful than the GBR terrors. ;P I bet if you put my male GBR in that tank, you'd have 8 dead Angels by the end of the week. He's a pita with other cichlids.

Your bolivian has great colour so it's probably maturing. IMO consider yourself lucky, your fish is likely to live 7+ years with good care compared to only 2 if it was a gbr. One of the main reasons I have 8 Bolivians lol.

Good points. Of course, after 2yrs, I'll be able to replace them with Apistos again. lol Win-win. Though, I do enjoy the GBRs... they're quire entertaining.
