i don't have a QT tank so i'm sure it came from the recently added neon tetras. (don't have a budget for one
ohh now i remember, it definitly came from the neons because a couple months ago i was checking the fish out at my LFS
i saw that the neon tetra were covered in ick and dying. so probaly from the neons

No, that is not an excuse.


if your LFS had ick months ago, they would have cleared it up. even the worse chain store in the world knows that nobody would buy a sick fish, so they cure it to keep selling and making profits.

the ick came from your STRESSED neons in your tank. not the lfs, not anyone else's fault but yours.

you had the neons in the tank for a while. if they had ick initially, it would show immediately.

but because you have a stressed tank with that gourami, you'll never cure the issue, because your neons will be forever stressed.

you can treat it all you want, but you'll end up with
A: your entire tank crashing and everything it in dies
B: all neons die because the gourami is attacking them

it'll repeat the cycle from now until you fix the original issue at hand-which is the gourami vs neons.
this time is ick, next time is a fungus, next time is a bacterial, next time is fin rot.

and for each time you post asking for what happened, we can refer you to the 50+ posts that have tried to help already with your gourami and neon

Vafa, everyone here is saying that it is from the stress caused by the Gourami in the tank and I agree with them as well. That should really be a hint of what to do.

And for.you. I don't recommend a ram. They are too sensitive if a fish for.how you keep tanks.
Jusy fill your tank out with neons and leave it be.

Now according to the thread title [& all the included exclamation marks involved] he has been exposed to ich. You HAVE to tell them this, Have you even asked them if they will take it? You really should.

Do you think they are going to take it and nurse it back to health? That is not what happens to fish that are sick and taken to the LFS.
