I am assuming you meant in addition to the required biomedia, Does it not have a pair of course blue sponges [for mech]? IME filter floss clogs far too quickly to be very effective in canisters.

You can easily find the blue sponge pads on amazon.

Thats exactly what I mean. It didn't come with blue course sponges. The filter is old. One of the oldest models I've seen. Honestly I haven't even been able to find the same model online. I got it from a teacher 7 years ago. The filter itself is at least 15 years old.

Are you kidding me? You must not have been looking very hard, What on earth are you using for search terms?

I got 'About 5,170,000 results (0.33 seconds)' with pictures & schematics on the first page all by using the secret and genius search term "EHEIM 2013"

    ... Good idea eh?

It's way older than that. - A 2013 is just a 2213 with a smaller impeller [Or motor.. You can sort that out - Either way, It has less flow] It apparently has the same canister as the 2213 [Being its apparent predecessor]. I would confirm this through matching physical measurments though If I were you

    There's your parts list.

Well I was going by the exact 2013, I saw the 2213 but it does look a bit different.. They canisters are similar, and I heard the share the same parts. But mine is a bit different.. Idk maybe its wear and tear.. Do you have any idea of how old this filter is?? I've always wanted to know but could never find out.

Also just did a 30% water change on both tanks. Used Prime for all the new water and my fish are swimming around happily like normal :D

Prime is where it's at my friend!

I've noticed that people HATE it when you point out how stupid they are, so now I try to do it politely.
