How do I setup a sail water system?
I have had freshwater systems for years now. I'm planning on setting up a saltwater system. I have done some research but I'm still stumped on a few things. I have a 10 gallon a 30 gallon and a 55 gallon. I plan on using my 10 gallon for a sick tank, my 30 gallon for a frag tank and my 55 gallon for my show tank that will house both fish and corals. Now my question is what equipment will I need for each tank?
From my research for a 10 gallon sick talk I'll need...
small canister filter
1 powerhead
sand
live rock
Do I need a protein skimmer for a sick talk?
For a 30 gallon frag tank I need...
small canister filter
2 power heads
sand
live rock
Coral starter kit calcium, What other vitamins and minerals will I need?
Do I need a protein skimmer for a frag tank?
For a 55 gallon show tank
large canister filter
2 power heads
sand
live rock
Coral starter kit
protein skimmer
What else will I need? Does anyone know where I can find information on corals and anemones and how to set up salt water tanks step by step? Thanks so much

Lots of good articles to help you in our salt water blog here

The biggest factor of knowing what you will need is the type of corals and fish you want to keep.
