High grade crystals are almost all white. I prefer the low ones.

Had the same thoughts before getting the shrimp, they've been in there for a little over a week. All of them have found refuge in the bushel of blyxa in the middle of the tank during day time. After lights out I usually drop in a blanched piece of zucchini and they go to town. Rams haven't been overly aggressive with them, maybe the occasional attempt at a nibble but nothing more, we'll see how things develop over the next couple days to weeks as I could always move them to the community tank.

Well its been a long and hard week and it didn't get any better on friday of all days. Randomly the cardinals decided to die off, I'm not really sure what happened nothing has changed. Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrates levels are all zero and CO2 levels are showing green on the drop checker. So far I've lost 4 and another one of them doesn't look so hot, guess I'll find out soon...

holy its been a while, the gbrs were moved to the 55 as they were terrorizing the shrimplets. The CRS have spawned numerous times and the amano shrimp have had eggs as well
Anyways the blyxa has exploded and taken over the tank and the HC have filled in a little, still a little ways to go though
