5.5 gal betta tank
What would be some good plant choices for a 5.5 gal tank besides Anubias and java ferns? Lighting is a 10 watt "50/50" CFL bulb. It seems many plants get too big for such a small tank.

Java moss tied with some fish line to a piece of rock. Our Betta loves hanging out in the moss and it doesn't need substrate.

I think 5.5 is a bit small for a betta. Perhaps consider shrimp instead?

A 5.5 gal filtered, heated, and planted tank is not big enough for one betta?

Always a slightly contentious issue. I, personally, wouldn't keep one in less than a 10 gallon.

I believe you are ok. It isn't ideal like firefly said (a ten gallon would be), but 5.5 gallon is much better than the containers at the petstore, or in an unfiltered bowl at someone elses home. But IMO i say fine.
