My Amazon Tank
Here's the progress of the fish in my generalized Amazon Biotope :)
Here's a short video from when my angels were spawning and protecting their eggs, their colors are so vivid!

This is just awesome fun, my angels will eat their flake food off my finger :3. They're a little skittish about it, but the more I do it, the more comfortable they seem to get.

If you click the upper 2 pictures it'll show the video in a separate window or tab.
And just some normal photos of my other little fishes:

You have very nice looking angels.
If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Tolerance is a great thing to have, so is the ability to shut up.

Thanks guys :3, they came all the way down to GA from MA on a roadtrip with me. When I saw them in the store I knew they were THE angelfish I wanted because I had already planned to do an Amazon themed tank, but didn't actually have the tank set up yet, so they're the fishI cycled it with. I'm actually trying to figure out, are they just typical 'silvers' or are they an actual species of angelfish like a manacupuru(sp)? Is there a way to figure out about how old they are? I assume if they're spawning they are at least 6mo old? Size wise they are a little larger than a 50cent piece right now, not counting fins.
I bought them from an aquarium specialty store. I don't know if they were from a local/professional breeder or just from a mass produced line. What I do know is they were the only ones in the whole tank that looked wild type, the rest were all koi angels.Generalized Amazon Biotope 36 gal with:

Nice tank, Amazon Biotope's are my favorite.

Fantastic pictures! Any shots of the full tank? Amazon biotopes are my favorite types of freshwater tanks. Just love the flora and fauna in and around that area. Makes for quite an attention grabbing tank.
Money can't buy happiness, but it sure can pay the rent.

I love angels but they're mean little b... I keep getting tempted to pick up some koi angels but after the mated pair in my previous setup went on a killing spree in my heavily planted 90g tank, I don't think I would ever keep them again.
I would also like to see a full-tank shot please

gorgeous angels and beautiful tank. I hope those neons don't end up as snacks for the angels when they get a little bigger. generally, if they can get it in their mouth, they'll eat it :o)
