Please help me figure out who is killing my Cory's

4 of my 6 Cory's have been wacked out and I just don't get it, 3 of them were fine yesterday, they mind their business but they are the only ones. It is either the large male Odessa or my 2 Rainbow sharks, I feel bad because I have 2 Cory's left but no other tank t put them in. Any suggestions. Someone had also took out my female cherry barb but I cannot remember if it was before or after the Rainbow sharks came along.

My tank consists of

6 Odessas
25 Neons tetras
6 Denison barbs
1 Cherry barb
2 Rainbow sharks
and the 2 Cory's that are left :-(

Rainbow has my vote, IM[limited]E Odessa don't really do much more than chase.

It is ONLY happening at night when the lights go out. I have never seen any of the Cory's be chased by any of their tankmates. I will see if I can find the RS's a home and hope it helps.

You better get rid of those rainbow sharks or you won't be having those neons, either.

another vote for the rainbows... they look nice but they arent called sharks for nothing.... (not saying they are predators but im talking about temperament and shape...)

I was hoping that with a 125 and plenty of wiggle room they might be alright, APPARENTLY I was wrong. I had 1 rainbow shark a few years back and he was great, never messed with anyone and never had any loss.

How do you even get two rainbows to work in the same tank?

forgive me if I'm wrong but is it possible that you are having an ammonia spike. Cory are the only bottom dwellers you have and normally the bottom dwellers go first.
