Very, very bad day!!!
Woke up this morning to water sopping my carpeted office floor. the 90 has sprung a leak. I have no idea where. It's not on the bottom because the stand is dry and it's also dry inside the cabinet.
just spent the last half hour draining tank and netting fish and getting a filter set up on a large tupper ware container. off to get a new 90 gal tank within a few hours.
just had to share my pain.

I would have said to wait till it stopped leaking, would have told you where to look for the leak...
Gonna try to re-silicone or just buy new/used? You could probably pick up just a tank for like $200 (prices around me) if you need a fast turn around55g: DG, 5 GBR, 10 Zebra Danio, 6 Cherry Barb, 5 Oto, 6 Sterbai, 9 Platies, RCS

Ouch!! Sorry to hear about the leak. On the flip side it's an opportunity to make changes.

That really sucks. Leaks big or small are good at messing up your day. At least your fishes are ok and like mrramsey said, good reason to change things up. Wish you the best.

this was a used tank that had been patched on the bottom . so I am NOt trying to fix it. I'm getting a new tank. petco and petsmart both have sales on right now. i'll call around and see what the best deal is.
do i have to worry about my bb dying in my canister if it's off for several hours? or if I keep it wet will it be okay? I figure it's going to be close to 5 or 6 pm before I can get everything set up again and it's 9:30 am now.....30 gal FW:dw gourami, cory cats, ABN pleco, Colombian & Serpae tetra, nerites & mystery snails

arrrggg. so far no luck finding a tank. biggest are 50 gal in stock at pet co and pet smart. waiting for two indies to open and keeping fingers crossed.
I cannot imagine where the leak is. the cabinet is dry inside but the floor all the way around the tank is wet and about 2 inches of water must have leaked out over the past 2 days. i could not find any lose hoses.
If I end up having to patch, what is involved in resilisoning? just go around the edge of each seam with clear silicone calk? is there a special calk or will bathtub calk work? ??? how long does it take to dry? Could I have this up and running again by tonight?30 gal FW:dw gourami, cory cats, ABN pleco, Colombian & Serpae tetra, nerites & mystery snails

no, if you re-silicone it won't be running tonight. The silicone takes a few days to cure. It involves scrapping all old silicone off and re-applying.
There is special stuff, some people use GE, I found stuff at Home Depot (DAP) that was meant for aquarium use.
Try putting water in to to locate the leak. It could be a hose or filter... I think that should be priority, find the leak and determine what needs fixed / replaced55g: DG, 5 GBR, 10 Zebra Danio, 6 Cherry Barb, 5 Oto, 6 Sterbai, 9 Platies, RCS
