QT both at once?
Tank is coming along nicely and the LFS just got a ton in stock on wed.
planning to go back sunday/monday and pick up the new additions to QT.
was thinking 1 or 2 German Blues and 1 Female krib and a bristlenose pleco.
would all that work in a 10gallon QT?

I'm guessing that they are younger fish? If so then its probably okay space wise. I might be concerned about aggression between the two rams which would be a serious problem in a tank that small.

I was thinking the same thing - perhaps the pleco & 1 ram or krib at this point. You don't want problems in a QT.
46 gal fw tank with black skirt tetras, neon tetras, spotted cory catfish, cherry barbs, guppies, snails & 4 amano shrimp - plastic & live plants
5 gal QT with green corys & 2 guppies

Yes, they are toddler's of the fish world
The rams were about an inch long, and the krib looked to be 1.5inches, and the pleco was an inch as well.
valid points on that concern, when i officially set up my 40b, i'd love to introduce all the fish at once so they have equal stake at gaining their territories...ya know?

Be careful with the Krib and GBRs. GBRs are testy little devils.

Tank 2: 75gal Planted Freshwater - 6 Serpaes + 1 Black Phantom + 3 Golden Wonder Killies + 1 Opaline Gourami + 2 Striped Raphael Cat + 4 SAEs + 5 Assassin Snails

It should work. No major issues as long as the temp and the cycle are good.
FW: 1 45gal, 1 40gal, 3 10gal, 3 30gal all community tanks of different species
Sw: 1 55gal, 1 30gal show, 1 29gal show, 1 20gal and 2 10's

in the main tank everyone should be okay because i've gone overboard with driftwood and making lines of sight/territories harder.
but in the QT, it is a different story and I don't know their temperaments towards one another to know if that'll work for a month or so while i make sure they are healthy.
and the QT will be cycled fine, I have a big sponge filter that has been in my main tank for months on end.

Here is a tip that I use on my qt tanks. Hornwart. It grows like a weed, sucks up nitrates like a sponge and gets these arms on it that allow visual break. It can be planted, it can be a floater. Either way its a good tool in a qt tank.
FW: 1 45gal, 1 40gal, 3 10gal, 3 30gal all community tanks of different species

Thanks for the feedback, turns out it wasn't meant to be.
got home from a weekend away and the lfs didn't have the german blues anymore.
so picked up a krib and bristlenose pleco! they are in QT for the time being.
