You should go with one bigger school. You won't regret it. Mixing up schools in the mid-range will detract from the beauty of one.
Then you could fill your bottom with some others, like Otos or maybe a few corys.

Agree with Kevin. A small tank with one or two species in a large school makes for a nicer tank than just having a Hodge-podge of fish crammed into a small area.
My thoughts would be:
Any two from the list and add some cherry shrimp if you'd like or some apple snails. I would not get any livebearers! They breed like rabbits and will end up overstocking that tank in a short time.
