  1. Default Planted enough for a dwarf gourami?

I've decided to add a neon dwarf gourami to my 20g planted community.

Before I do though, I want to make sure it's planted enough for him. Please pardon the relatively poor photo quality, as the only camera I have at the moment is a toddler, Fisher-Price type. Also, most of the neon tetra there are hiding, so don't worry, it's a relatively proper school. ;)

Plants include 2 amazon sword (yes, I know they get huge and will need attentive pruning in my setup) - one in each corner. There's anubias scattered around the driftwood. There's also some aponogetons to the side, and a wall of java fern in the center. Floaters include giant duckweed, anacharis (which I'll probably remove), and some impending frogbit -- it's currently on its way to me in the mail.

    Is this good enough?

The tank looks great. Your DW gourami likely will spend most of his time in the upper regions of the tank. He'll probably stake out some territory in a corner and spend a lot of time there. My DW gourami also likes to sometimes spend time in a crock occasionally. Yours will like the driftwood and love that tank.

Thars a realy nice looking tank. If the DG does not like it there's something wrong with him LOL. Great job.

Thank you, fishmommie and steeler1. :) It's good to get some thumbs-up on my first planted-tank attempt from the more experienced.

I'm glad to get some confirmation that the dwarf gourami should be happy in there -- can't wait to go get him. :D

    Thanks!!

I love DW gouramis. they're pretty colorful fish. Just don't over feed him. They have a tendency to get constipated from over eating LOL. At least mine does.
