Help me pick
I have 3 hours to decide which carpet anemone I will be taking home tomorrow or Friday. Our SW LFS got in 3 carpet anemones today and I get first pic. Each have a little different shade of blue with different shades of purple mixed in.
Which one of the below three would you pic ?
Anemone #1

Anemone #2

Anemone #3

I'd personally pick anemone #3. anemone #1 is essentially a paler version of #3 and
#2 has a color that, in my opinion, doesn't look all that good against rocks.

I just got back from the SW LFS. I was going to get #2 but it looks like I'll have to settle for #1. Next time I post a poll I'm going to name my options differently as that last sentence just doesn't sound right.
Unforunatly, the other two (#2 and #3) did not fare too well from the shipping. The pics I took were just after they were acclimated to the LFS’ tanks just after their long trip here from California early this morning. When I looked at them about 45 minutes ago, #2 and #3 looked like they may not make it through the night. Only the first one stayed inflated and has his mouth open just a little bit. That seems like a common problem for gigantean carpet anemones, they are very sensitive to temp and parameter swings so they don’t ship well at all.
But it does look like #1 is going to be fine so I picked him. The other two just seamed too risky for meLast edited by Cliff; 01-24-2013 at 02:54 AM.
