Tiny, beat-up Cardinal... :(
The tiniest of my cardinals always looks "beat-up" and tired as in his fins are nipped pretty bad (he only has half his rear fins right now), and I've identified the other cardinals as the culprits. Other tank mates include galaxy rasboras, endlers, and dwarf cories... Is this normal behavior, as in is that just their "peking order"?
I feel bad knowing that his injuries could progress into a fungal infection but he has not had an infection as of yet and he's been continuously nipped for as long as I can remember... Should I be concerned?
In case this matters my params are as follows:
Ammonia 0
Nitrate <5
Nitrite 0
pH 7.2
Thanks ladies and gents!
EDIT: It is a school of 10 cardinals. I just rembered this is important to note.Last edited by koaladarshana; 01-22-2013 at 12:46 AM.

Basically your wee fella is the runt of the litter, lowest of the low, bottom of the pecking order, parents least favourite . . . Get the idea, unfortunately that's just nature
My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

Assuming you have the room (biological filtration-wise) for more fish, a few more cardinals might even out the pecking order, so that he is picked on less.
Other than that...just keep on with the good water params so his tail doesn't get infected.10 gallon with a veiltail betta, 7 neons, 1 ADF, and one neat moss ball.
20 gallon with 6 female black phantoms, and 1 schwartzi cory
