I personally don't but I have seen it done many times. I considered doing one of those but ended up making a trickle filter out of some 5-gallon buckets. You can see my DIY build here.

You need to get a hold of Crispy. He's done it before and he's been helping me design mine. I have four of that exact unit you linked, but so far they''re just sitting in my basement waiting for me to start using them, so I don't have any actual experience yet.
300 gallon mega tank: sailfin pleco, clown loaches, silver dollars, roseline sharks, congo tetras, new world cichlids
125 gallon office tank: Africian cichlids, synodontis catfih
75 gallon community tank: bolivian rams, black skirt tetras, dwarf neon rainbowfish, corys, harlequin rasboras, otos, bristlenose and bulldog plecos, assassin snails, various shrimp
60 gallon goldfish tank: fancy goldfish

I will be building something a bit bigger in the future, but these drawers work great!

Thank you Crispy for that write up on your build, it's given me some ideas.

One thing to look at too is using pot scrubbers for the biomedia and poly stuffing for mechanical polishing.
Just a good way to save a little $$ because buying a ton of biomax isn't the cheapest thing in the world
