Trying to Post Pictures?

Is there any way to create an album here? I am having trouble posting pictures anywhere (I have also tried an oscar forum and had no success)....I can get them to facebook with no problems. I am going to try to attach one here: 2 failures! One from jpeg.mini and another from my i photo library? Oh well!

Most folks use a website like photobucket.com to host their pictures. It's easy to link pictures from your album there. Can post the img forum links that are listed there in your posts to show your pics.

Yes you can upload photos here, use the "Photo Gallery" link on the left. To use those photos in posts, the "Open" link under "My Pics" below the Smilies box is what you are looking for.

For iphoto, I find its easiest to export the photo first so I can find it easily.

The image attach above (the mountain pic thing) is just a link surrounded with the image tags, it doesn't upload, only link too.

The paperclip attach does work, but it has some significantly small limitations based on file type. (This is to prevent some person from uploading a gigantic photo which makes the forum software run crummy, and load poorly and to keep malicious intent limited) However, if you aren't paying attention to file size and photo dimensions... the standard sizes photo files run these days easily overrun its limitations.

I just tried to load My Oscar Buddy under photo gallery under menu on the left. Once I created an album "Pets" and once I posted under "Cichlids"--- in the member gallery. No pictures anywhere? It said successfully uploaded both times--I wonder where???? Shirley

There is an interim page where it says it is uploaded and processing. It is still processing and if you rush past that page you don't see the final edits page that is the last step to getting your photo successfully uploaded.

Well, the photo saga continues. I have no pictures in any album to edit! I also looked on the member list under "materbona" and I am not a member???? I tried posting in the cichlid area there but I don't show up as a member??? I thought I was a member when I signed up? I also tried to import an avatar---no luck. The fates are against me, perhaps? Anyone who can find me on here please tell me where! lol Just clicked manage attachments and got "upload failed" again. But the worst part is I can't find myself listed anywhere even though I did create a photo album and had two photos successfully loaded

Relax, you are a member here

Reduce the file size of your pics and try again. That typically cuases most errors here. I forgot the maximum size to up-load in our galleries, but I beleive it is around 800 X 800 pixels

To up-load a custom avitar, I beleive the max file size is 100 X 100 pixels
