Plant questions.
So I have my ten gallon in which I've had java moss and two types of java ferns for awhile, and probably close to two weeks ago I added some bulbs from one of those aponogeton, water lilly, water onion multipacks you get at petco.
I gave the lily to someone else and I haven't seen any kind of growth from anything yet, can't really find any information on how long they should take to sprout.
I was wondering if anyone had any input, as well as any other plants that would would work well with 26 watts of CFL and no co2, although I am gonna start fertilizing here soon. Plan on getting a microsword plant tomorrow just wondering some other good easy to find species. You can see from my pic that I do have some fake plants in there so nothing that's gonna completely take over either. Tanks looking much better than in that picture.

healthy bulbs should show at least some signs of growth in two weeks. any longer
and they likely are dead. a sure confirmation is a white mold growing on the bulbs, otherwise take them out and smell them. I assume your substrate is not a specialized plant substrate. in that case you will definitely need to use fertilizer tablets in the substrate to ensre the plants will grow adequately.
