BTW - Your bio media needn't be in the AC 20s you could have it in the sump [Which is the idea really] and not use the additional power the Ac20s are drawing.. Just saying

Yeah, I know. I will probably just keep them on for now, until I may need a quarantine tank or something. We'll se how much my electric bill changes next month and they may be out sooner. Just figured that I have them, might as well put them to use.

Might also consider sensor on top and bottom and wire them so they will shut everything down in an emergency. I use those those plastic clamps also but any clamp that I use on pipe that might malfunction and shoot water out of tank, I use double stainless clamps. The sensors can be turned upside down to measure water too low or right side up sense water levels on top
