    Default Circulation in tanks

    Ok guys, this seems to be an issue with me, I just upgraded my tank to 55g fowlr few inverts. the circulation in the tank is ok I think, but i still added a wavemaker and have been watching my anemones dance around quite a bit more than in my 29g without a wavemaker. fish dont seem to mind, question is, is it necessary to have all the water movement in a fowlr? what is the main advantages to all the water movement. never worried about this before. thanks for any imput.

    My understanding of wave-makers is that they keep particles in suspension (so your filter can trap them). Although I'm not a salty keeper.

    As you have live rock for your biological filteration, water flow in the tank is very improtant to move the wasts (ammonia and nitrites) to the bacteria on the rocks to keep the water safe. Reguarless of reef or FOWLR, you need the best water flow and movement your critters and fish can comfortably live in.
