I agree. Anubias would be a good choice. You would want the most hardy/ study plants that you can get if you are going to try that. Your lighting is good for low light plants like that. They will more than likely try to rip up or destroy any plants you put in the tank. They are even known to break heaters.

Agreed, + Oscars IME tend to rescape tanks and if you put a plant somewhere they don't want one.. They move it .
YMMV but I have 2' of 'plant free' zone in my O tank and he makes no exceptions .

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Why pretend there are no stupid questions? Actually, There are many stupid questions: "Should I drink this bleach?" Is just one example.
Having said that, Just because it's a stupid question doesn't mean that it shouldn't be asked. It's better to know.

you might be better off floating some horn wort, its super hearty and even if he shredds it, most will just start going new plants.

I tried two types of plants with my oscars namely Cryptocoryne balansae and Hygrophila Corymbosa and had an almost successful experience.
At the first weeks they tore up some of the long leaves of the Crypto which were floating on water surface ( it was a huge Crypto! ) but after a while they left it alone and it thrived well. Best place for this plant is the tank's back corner and the root should be protected from Oscars with something like a big enough rock.

Anubias and java furn are the best to use with oscar`s.
Tie to rock`s and wood, but of corse the Oscar will rip them and try to move them, just because there new to the tank.... So don`t give up right way.
And I would put in at lest 8-10 plants so he/ she will be less likely to kill all of them.
